Description
This course will examine legal and constitutional issues that bear on the litigation of a criminal case from arrest and arraignment through the Grand Jury stage, discovery, motion practice, plea negotiations, trial and sentence. Areas such as suppression issues, speedy trial, jeopardy and other constitutional subjects will be examined in depth, but always within the context of the realities of criminal practice from a prosecutorial and defense prospective.
